November 7th-11th
This week we decorated our windows using a bunch of different methods like paper tearing, finger painting and tissue paper to create beautiful winter bulbs. If you are walking by our window, have your child point our their bulbs!
We also created tie dye quilting squares to represent ourselves, and show how we are all unique and awesome. The entire Tuscany School will create a piece of the quilt and it will be put together to create one giant school quilt.
We also are working on using manipulatives to figure our different ways to create the same number. For example : 3 and 3 is 6, 4 and 2 is 6 , 5 and 1 is 6. We are also continuing to practice counting forwards and backwards from 10, and using strategies to figure out what all those numbers are in French.
We also filmed our Winder Celebration. The kids cannot wait to show you all the hard work they put into learning their winter poem!! We will be sharing and watching the celebration on December 16th.
From Mme Lynley:
"I have absolutely enjoyed every moment of the last 6 weeks with your children. Mme Chelsey has been a great example for me to follow. Your kids are lucky to have her. I have gotten to know what makes your child unique and how differently every child learns. I have appreciated this learning opportunity and look forward to coming back mid February. Have a wonderful Christmas break!"
